How much does QuickBooks Online cost in Kenya?
Through Remotix Nexus, QuickBooks Online costs KES 3,140 a month for Simple Start, KES 5,490 for Essentials, KES 6,800 for Plus and KES 12,200 for Advanced. Prices are VAT inclusive and payable in KES.
Which QuickBooks Online plan should I choose?
Simple Start suits a sole trader or a new business with one user. Essentials adds supplier bills and up to 3 users. Plus — the plan most of our clients use — adds class and location tracking, projects and inventory for up to 5 users, which is what most NGOs need for donor and grant tracking. Advanced is for larger teams of up to 25 users that need custom roles, approvals and batch processing.
Can we pay annually or by M-PESA?
Yes. Most of our clients pay once a year, which fits NGO budget cycles; semi-annual billing is also available. You can pay by bank transfer or M-PESA.
Can we upgrade or downgrade later?
Yes. You can move up a plan at any time without losing data — we handle the change and adjust your billing. Moving down is possible as long as you are not using features the smaller plan lacks.
Does QuickBooks Online handle Kenyan VAT?
Yes. We configure the 16% standard rate, zero-rated and exempt supplies so your VAT reports are ready for filing. For KRA eTIMS invoicing, QuickBooks Online needs a certified integrator; we'll advise on the right route.
Is QuickBooks Online multi-currency?
Yes. We switch on and configure multicurrency so you can invoice, pay and report in KES, USD, UGX, TZS or other currencies, with the home currency set correctly from the start — this cannot be changed later.
