When a version reaches its end date, Intuit stops bank feeds, payroll, online backup, live support and security updates for it. The software may still open, but it is no longer protected or connected. Dates follow Intuit's three-year discontinuation policy for US editions; regional editions can differ, so ask us to confirm yours.
How much does a QuickBooks data migration cost?
Migrations start from KES 25,000. The final price is fixed in writing after a free assessment of your file, and depends mainly on how many years of detailed history you want to bring across and how clean the source data is.
How long does a migration take?
Most migrations take one to three weeks from assessment to go-live. The calendar is usually driven by your cut-over date — we recommend moving at a month-end, ideally a financial year-end.
Will we lose our history?
No. You choose how much history to bring: full transaction detail, monthly summaries, or opening balances only. Whatever is not brought across in detail stays archived and accessible in your old system.
Can we keep working during the migration?
Yes. You keep using your current system until the agreed cut-over date. We then load the final period, reconcile, and switch you over — usually without losing a working day.
How do you prove the migration is correct?
Before go-live we reconcile the trial balance, bank balances, debtors, creditors and VAT between the old and new systems, and give you the sign-off report. Nothing goes live on trust.
